Scarce map of Richmond, California, with the lands of the William Mintzer estate highlighted.
William Mintzer (1856-1911) was a prominent member of San Francisco bar. He married E. Tewksbury, of the California pioneer Tewksbury family, which owned much of the town of Point Richmond.
As an agent of the Tewksbury Estate, Mintzer sold a large portion of the land to Standard Oil for its refinery, as well as some fifty acres to Southern Pacific for a rail yard. The lands from his own estate, as delineated on this map, offered further areas of development.
No copies of the map are listed in OCLC/WorldCat.
