Bird's-eye view of the bustling Third Street corridor at the close of the first year of America's involvement in the Second World War with the heavy demands brought on the infrastructure of the San Francisco Bay Area, showing among other features the train station serving both passengers and freight, "Unimproved Property" at Third and King where ATT Park, home to the San Francisco Giants, now stands, the edge of Pier 56, etc.

There are numerous vehicles depicted, may being trucks, and arrows are drawn on the streets to show the desired flow. At lower right is a location map showing the area surrounding the view.
