DETAILS

This is a striking double-sided map of flora and fauna, with North America on one side and Asia on the other. It was part of a series of pictorial maps produced for use in French classrooms and universities. The maps use a wide variety of fonts, figures, and symbols to illustrate important geographic and cultural landscape features.

Splendid, large illustrations of animals are located throughout the map. Ecozones are delineated with colors and symbols, as laid out in the legend. A large inset map of the region shows major climate zones and currents.

CONDITION NOTES

Map is laminated and fixed with grommets for hanging. Minor wear at the corners.
